A material-test plan is incomplete until it includes a ventilation decision. Identify the material, confirm that it is suitable for laser work, review its hazards, and decide how fumes will be captured or exhausted before preparing the file.
Keep protective eyewear, shielding, a clear work area, and attended operation in the same checklist. Unknown materials and unsafe plastics should not enter the test queue simply because a blank looks familiar.
